‘Brawl erupts at training’ as Chelsea lurch deeper into crisis

A training session on Wednesday saw tensions come to a head at the embattled club with a bust up between Cesc Fabregas and several other players.
According to the Times, a training ground incident involving Fabregas on JoseMourinho’s second last day shows the level of division at Stamford Bridge.
The catalyst for the push and shove was during a match involving senior squad members and players from the club’s academy. It is believed that Fabregas caused a reaction from teammates with a very strong tackle on one of Chelsea’s Under 21 players.
Tensions were heated as some in the squad disagreed on the intent of the challenge, but it was reported it was ‘quite fair’. Players then had to be separated by coaching staff. It is unclear if Jose Mourinho was involved.
The bust up comes as the Chelsea manager was sacked on Thursday for the second time from the club after a horror start to the season. Many caretakers have been widely discussed in the press over the last week, such as Guus Hiddink or Juande Ramos.
The club goes into this weekend’s crucial clash against Sunderland looking to get out from near the relegation zone.
