Crystal Palace inflict first defeat on Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool

Crystal Palace’s Scott Dann scored a late header as Jurgen Klopp tasted defeat for the first time as Liverpool manager. Palace took an early lead through Yannick Bolasie, who turned the ball in from 12 yards after the Reds failed to deal with Wilfried Zaha’s cross

Liverpool drew level before the break through Philippe Coutinho, who slotted in from close range after Adam Lallana helped on Nathaniel Clyne’s low cross. Both teams had chances to win it with Liverpool’s Christian Benteke spurning the best of them, heading over Alberto Moreno’s cross when he looked odds-on to score. But Palace shocked Anfield when Dann nodded in from a corner at the second time of asking.
