James Milner has withdrawn from the England squad to face Spain and France, as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.
Head coach Roy Hodgson has elected not to call a replacement for the 29-year-old, who missed Liverpool’s defeat to Crystal Palace at the weekend.
Milner’s withdrawal means Tottenham duo Dele Alli and Eric Dier could both start their first international match against Spain in Alicante on Friday.
The Three Lions face France at Wembley the following week
