Jamie Vardy double gets party started as Leicester lift Premier League trophy

Leicester City celebrated their coronation as Premier League champions with a 3-1 win over a hapless Everton at a jubilant King Power Stadium.
The home faithful were treated to a spine-tingling performance of Nessun Dorma from Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli ahead of the game and were once again on their feet with only five minutes gone when Jamie Vardy opened the scoring.
Andy King, in for the suspended Danny Drinkwater, collected the ball in midfield and whipped an inviting cross into the box that Vardy glanced past Joel Robles.
The Foxes were putting in a performance of champions and doubled their advantage with 33 minutes gone after a jinking Riyad Mahrez run culminated in King slotting home.
Vardy completed the rout after the break, slamming home his penalty after being fouled by Matthew Pennington. But he then squandered his chance of a hat-trick, blasting over the bar moments later after Jeff Schlupp was upended by Darron Gibson.
Everton pulled back a late goal via Kevin Mirallas but it did little to dampen the spirits of the Leicester fans and players, who will surely celebrate long into the night.
