Leaders Leicester lose 10-game unbeaten record as Christian Benteke strikes for Liverpool

Christian Benteke scored as Liverpool returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over in-form Leicester City at Anfield.
The former Aston Villa forward – who came on as a first-half substitute – scored just his second goal in nine games with a well taken finish just after the hour-mark.
Leicester – unbeaten in 10 – had scored in every Premier League match up to now but found chances hard to come by against a dominant Liverpool as the likes of Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez were kept quiet throughout.
The Reds were granted their reward when Benteke guided the ball into the corner of the net after meeting a cross from Firmino on 63 minutes.
The visitors improved in the closing stages but were unable to find an equaliser and Liverpool earned the three points to record their first win in four matches.
Jurgen Klopp’s side – who travel to Sunderland on Wednesday night – move up to eighth position while Leicester remain top of the table, two points ahead ofArsenal who play away at Southampton this evening.
It doesn’t get any easier for Claudio Ranieri’s side who host Manchester City on Tuesday night.
