Luis Suarez is the best striker on the planet

The last time a player other than Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi won the Pichichi, it was a Uruguayan, Diego Forlan, who topped the table with 32 goals from 33 games in 2008-09. But now another could finish the season as Liga top scorer after Luis Suarez moved onto 35 goals – four ahead of Ronaldo and 10 ahead of Messi – with a strike in a 2-0 win over Real Betis. Robert Lewandowski’s form in the first half of the season made his case for being the best out-and-out striker in the world, but now it’s Suarez, without a shadow of a doubt.
