Harambee Stars skipper Victor Wanyama knows the chance for Kenya to secure a slot at the 2017 African Cup of Nations is very slim, after a second loss of the qualifiers to Guinea Bissau last Wednesday.
The team suffered a 0 – 1 loss, leaving them bottom of Group E and though Wanyama admits it will be very tough for them, he is calling on his mates to give a good fight in the remaining matches to help boost the team’s chance.
The fourth match of the campaign is a game against the same opponents on Sunday 27 March and Wanyama has branded it a must win clash for them to revive the qualifying campaign.
“We have a very slim chance of making it to the Afcon finals after the loss. We had a chance with a win in the game but a slight loss of concentration cost us. Nonetheless we still have to bring on that fighting spirit.
“We can revive the chances if we give a good fight for this match on Sunday and normally we just have to push hard in any match. We will do our best and see where it leaves us,” he said.
