Tottenham have omitted Emmanuel Adebayor from their 25-man Premier League squad according to reports.
The 31-year-old, who has been the subject of much transfer speculation over the summer, has struggled for first-team opportunities in recent times under manager Mauricio Pochettino
West Ham had shown interest in signing the Togolese striker but he was deemed too expensive, with his wages reported to be £100,000 a week.
Adebayor will now have to sit and watch in the stands as he has not been included in the Europa League squad either. Harry Kane, who is yet to score this season, is now the only recognised specialist striker after the sale ofRoberto Soldado to Villarreal.
