Weekend team news: Nine players out for Manchester United

Saturday All the team news ahead of the weekend games withManchester United missing nine players for the trip to Bournemouth.
SATURDAY
NORWICH CITY V EVERTON – – 12:45
Norwich manager Alex Neil must decide whether to recall goalkeeper John Ruddy against his former club, or stick with Declan Rudd, who made a first Premier League appearance of the season in the 2-0 defeat at Watford. Everton have confirmed that the trip to 16th placed Norwich comes too early for injured centre back Phil Jagielka (knee), but manager Roberto Martinez said the England international could return to the side after Boxing Day.
CRYSTAL PALACE V SOUTHAMPTON
Crystal Palace will be without Mile Jedinak, after the Australian midfielder rolled his ankle in training. Bakary Sako and Dwight Gayle are also unavailable after the latter suffered a setback in training, while goalkeeper Alex McCarthy is fit enough to sit on the bench for the match. Southampton boss Ronald Koeman remains without long-term absentees Jay Rodriguez (ankle), and Florin Gardos and Fraser Forster (both knee), even if the latter is nearing a return to fitness.
MANCHESTER CITY V SWANSEA CITY
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that the game comes too soon for Sergio Aguero, although the striker is expected to be fit in time to face Arsenal next week. SUNDERLAND V WATFORD
Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce is also without Sebastian Larsson who is out for a month with a knee injury, while Steven Fletcher faces a late test after picking up a foot problem in training. Lee Cattermole also remains sidelined with a back problem. Watford are set to again be without midfielder Valon Behrami, who is nursing a calf problem, for Saturday’s Premier League match at Sunderland.
WEST HAM V STOKE CITY
West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has blamed the club’s training pitch for a spate of recent injuries. Bilic currently has six key players – Dimitri Payet, Enner Valencia, Diafra Sakho, Manuel Lanzini, Victor Moses and Winston Reid – on his casualty list. Stoke remain without Peter Crouch, Peter Odemwingie (both hamstring) and Shay Given (knee), but Marc Muniesa (hamstring) could return to first-team action on Saturday.
BOURNEMOUTH V MANCHESTER UNITED – 17:30
Captain Wayne Rooney is one of nine Manchester United players who will miss Saturday’s game. Bournemouth have been boosted by the return of Lee Tomlin and Marc Pugh ahead of the visit of United.
SUNDAY
ASTON VILLA V ARSENAL – 13:00
Jack Grealish will be back in the Aston Villa squad when Arsenal visit Villa Park. The 20-year-old midfielder was overlooked for first-team duty against Watford and Southampton following a breach of club discipline. Arsene Wenger has no fresh injury concerns ahead of Arsenal’s trip on Sunday.Photos
LIVERPOOL V WEST BROM – 16:00
Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho is in line for a return to the starting line-up against West Brom on Sunday. Stephane Sessegnon is out of West Brom’s trip with a hamstring injury. The forward limped off in Saturday’s 1-1 draw against Tottenham and will not feature for the Baggies at Anfield but Claudio Yacob is available again after suspension.
TOTTENHAM V NEWCASTLE -16:00
Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier is expected to shake off a knock in time for Sunday’s Premier League game at home to Newcastle. Newcastle head coach Steve McClaren will select from the same squad as he did for last weekend’s victory over Liverpool for Sunday’s Premier League trip to White Hart Lane.
