The visitors held firmly for the remaining duration of the game despite finishing the game with ten men after centre-back Nojeem Raji was given his marching orders.
Gyan, who provided the assist for Okoro’s goal, says his team will keep fighting till the last day.
“It was a very tough game. We tried our best and I’m happy we got the three points at stake,” Gyan said.
“El-Kanemi are a very tough side. They gave us a really tough game but I’m happy we came out tops.
“We are very confident that we will carry this form in the remaining four games of the season.
“Our ambition hasn’t changed. We want a continental slot at the end of the season.”
