Kwara United defender, Abubakar Sylas Yusuf, has revealed to supersport.com that the Harmony Boys would not be relegated this term from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
United have been woeful at home this season, as they have failed to turn their home ground to a fortress against visiting teams.
Kwara United have lost four games at home this term against (Heartland, Enyimba, Sharks and Wikki Tourists) and the Harmony Boys have not been impressive away from home as they have only won once at FC Ifeanyiubah.
Yusuf said to supersport.com that the discussion in the camp is for them to avoid the drop zone at the end of the season.
“It is a must for us to avoid relegation this season, and the fight for survival has started right from our last game which we won against 3SC.
“We won’t wait till the season remains three or four games before we start our permutation as there is still time for us to perform,” Yusuf who is nicknamed after Brazilian and Barcelona star, Dani Alves said
Kwara United face an onerous task in their next two games at Nasarawa United and Kano Pillars, and Yusuf is optimistic that his club would soar in the encounters.
“Our next two games will be very tough for us as we are going to Lafia and Kano, but we are determined to pick points at the two venues,” the experienced defender said.
