World number one Novak Djokovic continued his stunning seasno with a straight sets win over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga at the Shanghai Masters.
Djokovic won 6-2 6-4 against the Frenchman, his serve near untouchable and his returning even better as he carved out no fewer than 13 break points in the match. Tsonga did manage to break Djokovic in the opening set, but could only hold his own serve once as the Serbian got off to a superb start in the clash.
In the second set it was one-way traffic. Djokovic lost only a single point on his serve, and while Tsonga battled hard he was unable to protect his weak second serve. Though he saved five break points he could not manage to stop them all, and Djokovic gave him no chance to hit back as he racked up yet another victory in a stellar season that has seen him lose just five matches.
